In John 10:10, Jesus tells us that the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. The word destroy certainly means to ruin or bring to an end, but it also carries the idea of rendering something useless. One of the enemy's greatest tactics is convincing us that we are no longer effective, no longer needed, or that our best days are behind us. If he can persuade us that our mistakes, our age, our circumstances, or changing seasons have disqualified us, he has succeeded in attacking our God-given destiny.

But God alone has the final word. His calling is not revoked because of setbacks, delays, or detours. While the timeline may look different than we imagined ten years ago, God's purpose remains intact. He does not abandon the blueprints He designed for our lives. Our responsibility is to continually revisit His instructions, seek His wisdom, discern the season we are in, and listen to trusted voices of Godly counsel. As long as God is speaking, there is still purpose ahead. What He has called you to do is still worth pursuing, and His plans for your life remain secure. You have not been rendered useless, keep pressing forward.
